Work has been completed on the $10.9 million Wynnum Road and Hemmant-Tingalpa Road intersection upgrade. It was designed to improve safety and traffic flow, with the introduction of new traffic lights, signalised pedestrian crossings, new and upgraded footpaths and kerb ramps, and changes to the intersection layout. Dedicated turn pockets have been constructed on all approaches to separate turning vehicles from through traffic, and there are also signalised U-turn facilities on Wynnum Road.
