A big change is being made to compensation if your broadband goes down. Customers of 10 major UK broadband providers will receive higher automatic compensation if their service goes down under updated Ofcom rules. The regulator says broadband and landline customers are to be entitled to compensation if their service stops working and is not fixed within two working days. They will also receive £32.31 for missed or last-minute cancelled engineer appointments. This is up from £2
