Work to replace more than 19km (11.8 miles) of water pipes is set to cause disruption in a town for three years. Thames Water said 60 roads in Loughton, Essex, would be affected while it carried out the ongoing upgrades. The £30m scheme aims to reduce leaks and the planned road closures will take place in stages to minimise the effect.
