A woman has died and a man has been arrested following an assault in Waterford city. Emergency services responded to the incident at a property in the Grange Heights housing estate at around 6.15pm. Gardaí and the National Ambulance Service attended the scene where a woman was discovered with serious injuries. The woman, who was in her 40s, was taken to University Hospital Waterford, where she was pronounced dead a short time later.
